Missouri Jobs Report – August

The State’s Jobs report for August shows non-farm payroll increased by 7,900 jobs, private industry payroll increased by 5,800 jobs, and government employment increased by 2,100 jobs.

Missouri’s smoothed seasonally adjusted unemployment rate increased 1/10 of a percentage point, from 3.8% in July, 2024 to 3.9% in August, 2024.  That is also up from 3.2% in August of 2023.

The monthly unemployment report with a breakdown by county will be released on September 27th.
