A portion of the Grand River is expected to rise above flood stage following heavy rains Sunday and early Monday. The Grand River at Sumner is forecast to rise above flood stage of 26 feet early Tuesday morning. The river is expected to rise to a crest of 28.2 feet by Tuesday afternoon – resulting in moderate flooding. The river is expected to fall back below flood stage late Tuesday night.
