Resurfacing of US 65 or Washington Street in Chillicothe will begin April 21st.  The Missouri Department of Transportation announced the project will begin with the curb and entrance repairs from Business 36 to Second Street on the northbound side, and beginning May 5th for the southbound side.

May 19th to June 1st, the contractor, Capital Paving and Construction, LLC, will complete curb and entrance repairs on both sides, from Second Street to Highway 190.

June 18th to July 8th Contractors will do nighttime resurfacing.

July 18th to the 24th, signal detection work will take place.

During the work, Washington Street will be narrowed to one lane. Access to city streets and business entrances along Washington will be impacted and may be closed. The contractor will work with business owners to minimize impacts by working on one entrance at a time at any given location.
