New Police Vehicle Approved

A new police vehicle for the Chillicothe Police Department was approved by the Chillicothe City Council at a cost of $40,208.  Chillicothe Police Chief Jon Maples says this will add to their fleet, giving them some flexibility.

Three bids were received, ranging from $40,208 to $53,886.  The low bid was by Woody’s in Chillicothe.  The vehicle is expected to take 6-8 weeks to build and deliver to Chillicothe.

Chief Maples says they will begin the process of ordering the police package that includes the lights, radios, and the interior package to outfit the vehicle and prepare it for use.
