Painting of the slides at Chilli Bay Water Park will take place this fall and next spring. The Chillicothe City Council approved the bid from Safe Slide Restoration totaling $112,780. Parks Director Josh Norris says that is over the budgeted amount of $86.000. To handle this within the budget, the work will be done this fall and next spring. He says the work in the contract includes work on various slides.
Beginning this fall…
Work on the Green, Orange, and part of the Brown slides.
Norris says they would be back in the spring for additional work.
Complete the brown slide and the family slide.
The spring work would be part of the 2025/26 budget for the Parks Department.
