Repairs to the approaches to the Polk Street bridge will take place in early April. Chillicothe Street Department Superintendent Jeff Gillespie says over the years the approaches have settled and repairs will mean shutting down the bridge for about a week. The repairs will include concrete work that will need time to cure before it can be used.
Gillespie says when they close the road, they will post detours.
