Preparation To Resurface Washington Street Begins

The preparations for resurfacing Washington Street in Chillicothe began this week.

The Missouri Department of Transportation contractors have begun curb and entrance repairs from Business 36 to Second Street on the northbound side.  Work on the southbound side will begin May 5th.

May 19th to June 1st, the contractor, Capital Paving and Construction, LLC, will complete curb and entrance repairs on both sides, from Second Street to Highway 190.

From June 18th to July 8th, Contractors will do nighttime resurfacing, followed by signal detection work from July 18th to the 24th.

During the work, Washington Street will be narrowed to one lane. Access to city streets and business entrances along Washington will be impacted and may be closed.
