Rainfall Enough To Improve Drought Conditions

Rainfall in November helped to improve Missouri’s drought conditions.  The report released on Friday shows 24.5% of the state has no drought; this includes nearly all of the KCHI listening area.

Abnormally dry conditions are reported in nearly 41%, and moderate drought of 29.5%.  There is 4.59% severe drought, and that is all in the southern part of the state.

The week of November 18th the drought monitor showed only 6.74% with no drought, about 30% with abnormally dry, 42% with moderate drought and 21.8% severe drought
