Rezoning of a property at 1618 Fair Street was approved by the Chillicothe City Council. Code Officer Gill Gates presented the ordinance and said the property which is currently zoned R-1 Residential, allowing single-family homes, currently has two duplexes on the property. The owner wants to add a third duplex and subdivide the property into individual lots. To do that properly the property needed to be rezoned to R-2, one- and two-family homes.
Gates told the council the adjoining properties are zoned R-2.
The council approved the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Board to grant the rezoning of the property.
