The Chillicothe R-II School Board approved the budget for the 2024/25 school year in late June, but an update is needed in September each year to adjust some figures. Superintendent Dr Dan Wiebers explains.
Due to teachers completing classes, new employees, and updates to the summer school funding.
Wiebers says there is deficit spending in this budget, but that relates to the CES construction.
Construction funds were collected in previous years and are being expended now.
Funds from foundations and grants will be collected throughout the current budget year.
