School Board Defines “Hard Surface Routes”

The list of Hard Surface Routes for the Chillicothe R-II School District was approved by the School Board.  Superintendent Dr Dan Wiebers explains this is needed to continue classes when busses can not run on certain roads.

Defining routes where students can be picked up when some roads are in poor condition.

This is part of the district’s “Inclement Weather Routes.”  The full information is available from the School District’s website.

Dr Wiebers says the district will make announcements when busses will run on Hard Surfaces only.  Affected parents will need to bring the students to the designated pick-up point.  If the roads are not passable, it is up to the parent to choose if the student will be attending school that day.
