School District Finances

Nearly half of the Chillicothe R-II School District’s planned expenses for the 2024/25 school year have been paid, while the district has received just under 40% of the budgeted revenue.  Superintendent Dr Dan Wiebers says the district is on track.

Aligned with the figures in the budget.

As of January 9th, the district has received $10,404,902.67 in revenue, or 39.5% of the total estimated budgeted revenue.

And as of January 9th, the district has $15,953,352.07 in expenses, or 49.8% of the total estimated expenditures.

Dr Wiebers says a large part of the district revenue is received in January through Personal Property and Real Estate Taxes paid to the county.

Wiebers did note, that of the total expenses, $4,134,197.49 were payments towards the Chillicothe Elementary Expansion Project. The revenues that covered those expenses were collected in previous school years.
