A man who pleaded guilty to the charge of Assault – special victim was sentenced to prison time. Thirty-seven-year-old Derrick Hill had been charged in September of 2025 with assault – special victim, attempting to disarm a police officer, and resisting. In January, Hill pled guilty to the assault charge, and the disarming and resisting charges were dismissed.
This week, Hill was sentenced to five years in prison, the sentence is to be served consecutively to any other sentences.
