A single-vehicle crash in Grundy County left an 18-year-old Trenton man with serious injuries. State Troopers investigated the crash on Route A, northwest of Trenton. At about 5:08 am Thursday, the driver was westbound and lost control on the ice-covered bridge. He went off the south side of the road and struck a tree. The man was taken to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton and was later transferred to St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City. He was not wearing a safety belt.
