Upgrades to Chuck Haney Field at Shaffer Park will begin soon. The Chillicothe City Council approved a bid from Aaron’s Lawn Care & Landscaping for $59,075. Parks Director Josh Norris says this is work on the infield.
Regrading, leveling, and resodding the infield.
The City budgeted $40,000 for the project. Norris says they are getting help from Grand River Entertainment with the balance.
Covering the remaining cost.
Work will start about September 16th, with sod put down in late October.
