Livingston County Sheriff Steve Cox will retire at the end of the year, and hopes to make the transition to the next sheriff an easier one. Cox says his first day in office made him think twice.
He says the department has also done training on various aspects of the position.
Cox says he is proud of his staff and he looks forward to the remainder of his time in office.
