Single Vehicle Accident Results In Arrest

A call for a crash in the 1200 block of Bryan resulted in the arrest of the driver after threats were allegedly made, and the driver left the scene.  At 9:42 pm, officers responded to the report of a single-vehicle crash in the 1200 block of Bryan Street.  The vehicle had struck a utility pole.

While responding, officers were notified that the driver had threatened a witness and left the scene.

Officers arrived and began the investigation.  They gathered evidence and later located the vehicle near the scene of the crash.

The driver attempted to flee from Officers when they attempted a traffic stop, but couldn’t get far because of damage to the vehicle.. A 19-year-old man was arrested for alleged leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash, witness tampering, tampering with evidence, resisting arrest, and Assault. He was processed and transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center on a 24-hour hold pending the filing of formal charges.
