A single vehicle crash in Chariton County on Wednesday left the Brookfield driver with serious injuries. State Troopers report the crash occurred at about 5:50 am on Highway 11, east of Mendon. According to the report, the driver was westbound when she ran off the left side of the road and her vehicle overturned. She was not wearing a safety belt and was flown to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.
