State Offers FREE Courses For Job Seekers

The Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development is offering FREE online courses to find and prepare for jobs.

MDHEWD has partnered with Coursera to launch three new courses to help Missourians strengthen their job search, job readiness, and finance skills at no cost. The online courses include:

  • Missouri Job Ready Day One: This course provides foundational skills important to success in the workplace, such as effective communication, time management, problem solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Basic Financial Literacy: This course focuses on skill building in personal finance, such as budgeting, saving, personal cash flow, and financial planning.
  • Job Search Skills & Success: This course offers training in networking, job searching, building a personal brand, creating effective résumés, and job interviewing.

Missouri-endorsed certificates are awarded after completing each course.
