Steven A. McBee Sentencing Moved To June

A Gallatin man who pleaded guilty to crop insurance fraud was scheduled for sentencing this month.  Steven A. McBee entered a guilty plea last November in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri, admitting to engaging in fraudulent activity from 2018 to 2020 that caused an economic loss to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.  The government claimed total losses of just over $4 million.

McBee is subject to a sentence of up to 30 years in federal prison without parole. He must also forfeit nearly $3.2 million in federal crop insurance premium subsidies and federal crop insurance benefits to which he was not entitled.

The sentencing of McBee has been moved to June 26th, in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri.

McBee is the owner of McBee Farming Operations and stars in the reality television series “The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys” on Peacock.
