Trenton City Council Meeting

The Trenton City Council will meet Monday, June 22, at 7 p.m. at City Hall to consider a variety of city business, including changes to fireworks sales dates, infrastructure projects and utility improvements.

One of the key items under unfinished business is an ordinance that would amend the city code to extend the days during which fireworks may be sold within the City of Trenton.

Council members are also expected to consider bids for tree trimming and authorize the city administrator to sign a letter of support for matching funds associated with a Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) grant aimed at improving distribution system resilience, redundancy and reliability. An update on nuisance properties is also on the agenda.

New business includes accepting a bid for cutting hay on city-owned property, reviewing a recommendation from the Utility Committee to purchase a lime slaking system for the water plant, and considering a bid for replacement of airport runway lighting.

The council will also receive its regular bills report before entering a closed session to discuss legal matters as permitted under Missouri law.
