Trenton firefighters responded to 1605 Merrill Street in Trenton for a report of a house fire at about 9:30 am Sunday. The fire crew arrived to find heavy fire throughout an enclosed front porch and living room. They were told the house was unoccupied.
The fire caused extensive fire and smoke damage throughout the house. The fire had started in the front porch, but the cause of the fire is undetermined. The fire crew was on the scene for 2 ½ hours.
