Two Crashes Left Two Injured In Area Counties

Two crashes Monday afternoon left two injured.  State Troopers investigated the crashes in Putnam and Linn Counties.

 

In Linn County, at about 3:15 pm, a two-vehicle crash occurred on the eastbound ramp from US 36 near Marceline.  According to the report, an 86-year-old Marceline woman ran into the back of a vehicle that was stopped on the ramp.  Both vehicles were totaled.  The woman was taken to Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield for treatment of minor injuries.  There is no information on the driver of the other vehicle.

 

At about 5:30 pm, near Unionville, a pick-up and a UTV collided 6 miles southeast of Unionville on 300th Street.  According to the report, the UTV was southbound, driven by an 18-year-old woman.  A 16-year-old boy was northbound in a pick-up, and the two vehicles collided.  The 18-year-old was taken to Putnam County Memorial Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.  The 16-year-old boy was not injured.
