Two Crashes Result In Two Drivers Injured

Two accidents in the KCHI area on Wednesday resulted in injuries for two drivers.

At around 7:50 AM in Ray County, a two-vehicle crash on Hwy. D east of Hwy. KK occurred when a 35-year-old Excelsior Springs woman was eastbound and crossed the center of the roadway, striking a westbound vehicle driven by a 21-year-old woman from Polo. The woman from Polo was taken to Excelsior Medical Center for treatment of moderate injuries.

At around 5:35 PM in Daviess County, a single vehicle crash on Missouri Hwy. 13, two miles north of Coffee, left a Pattonsburg woman with moderate injuries. The 18-year-old driver was southbound in heavy rain and hail. She ran off the west side of the road, overcorrected, and collided with a ditch, coming to rest on the driver’s side.  The woman was taken to Harrison County Community Hospital for treatment. She was not wearing a safety belt.
