Two Findings In Chillicothe R-II Audit

The Chillicothe R-II School District’s audit for the year ending in June of 2025 was presented to the Chillicothe R-II School Board.  The report includes two findings.  Superintendent Dr Dan Wiebers says the first was a common finding for school districts of our size.

The segregation of duties for handling financial responsibilities.

Dr Wiebers says the second finding was Not Following Procurement processes for purchases over $50,000 for the Food Service program.

Says they did go out for bid, but not until later in the process.

He says they have corrected the procedures for that process and that was noted in the audit.
