Two Injured In Weekend Crashes

Two crashes left two injured in the area counties over the weekend, one with serious injuries.

In Carroll County, at about 1:45 am Sunday, a 19-year-old man was walking near Walnut and East 1st Street in Norborne and was struck by an unknown vehicle that left the scene.  The man was flown to Truman Medical Center with serious injuries.

A Gallatin man had minor injuries in a single vehicle crash Sunday at about 8:50 am on Grant near Green Street in Gallatin.  According to the Highway Patrol, the 68-year-old man was westbound and fog was obstructing his view.  He ran off the north side of the road and into a hole in the ground.  He was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center.  He was wearing a safety belt.
