Weekend Chillicothe Police Report

Chillicothe Police handled numerous calls for service over the weekend.

Friday, September 19th

Police arrested two men for assault after one claimed he was attacked. Another assault investigation began after a patient with suspicious injuries arrived at the hospital. Officers also investigated a rental fraud case where tenants paid for a home already occupied. Police handled 118 calls on Friday.

Saturday, September 20th

Officers investigated a hit-and-run at Washington and Calhoun, and later a distracted driving crash into a utility pole on Jackson Street. A woman was arrested for driving without a license. Vandals destroyed a granite monument at Simpson Park, and police arrested an impaired driver after a crash at 2nd and Washington. Later, juveniles were caught after kicking in a door on Dickinson Street. Police handled 61 calls Saturday.

Sunday, September 21st

Police assisted the Highway Patrol in arresting a driver who resisted detention, was intoxicated, and had a felony warrant. Officers responded to reckless driving reports but couldn’t locate the vehicle. They also helped safely house an infant, recovered an injured animal, and investigated trespassing that turned out to be a mistaken delivery. Police handled 74 calls on Sunday.
