Nearly 200 calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department from Friday through Sunday.
Friday: Chillicothe Police handled a variety of calls, including a domestic dispute on Southwest Drive, a drug investigation on Graves Street after suspected methamphetamine was recovered, and a property damage report on First Street that remains under investigation. Officers also recovered an abandoned bicycle.
Saturday: Officers investigated a traffic stop that led to drugs being found in a vehicle carrying juveniles. Police also assisted with a domestic disturbance that occurred in Caldwell County, responded to a person in crisis who was voluntarily taken to Hedrick Medical Center, and took a report after an American flag was repeatedly torn from a front porch.
Sunday: Police investigated a domestic assault on Jackson Street where injuries were documented and a warrant is being sought for the male suspect. Officers also took a harassment report, responded to a trespassing complaint, investigated a juvenile injured after falling from the hood of a moving vehicle, and worked a late-night single-vehicle crash after a driver reportedly swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle crossing the center line. No injuries were reported in the crash.
