Zach Douglas Sentenced To 15 Years Behind Bars

A Braymer Teacher charged in 2021 with alleged sexual misconduct, sexual misconduct involving a child under 15, and four counts of furnishing pornographic material to a minor was sentenced to 15 years behind bars.  Thirty-one-year-old Zachary Wayman Douglas of Utica entered guilty pleas in October to charges of 3 counts of Harassment, 2 counts of Furnishing Pornographic Material To A Minor, and 1 count of Sexual Abuse.

Douglas was sentenced in Dekalb County Court by Circuit Judge R. Brent Elliott to serve 4 years for each count of Harassment.  The sentences are to be served consecutively, for a total of 12 years in prison.

On the charges of Furnishing Pornographic Material To A Minor, and Sexual Abuse, Judge Elliott sentenced Douglas to 1 year on each count to be served in the County Jail.  Those sentences are also to be served consecutively, for a total of three years in jail.
