Zachary Douglas Enters Guilty Plea

Thirty-one-year-old Zachary Wayman Douglas of Utica could spend 12 years in prison and three years in jail under a plea agreement in Dekalb County Circuit Court.  Douglas was charged in 2022 with furnishing pornographic material to a minor, sexual misconduct, sexual misconduct with a child under the age of 15, 4th-degree child molestation, sexual contact with a student, statutory sodomy, and sexual abuse, and for some of those, multiple counts.

Under the Plea, the prosecutor is recommending:

4 years in prison for harassment.

1 year in jail each on two counts of furnishing pornographic material to a minor.

In addition, under the plea, the prosecutor is recommending:

4 years in prison on each of two counts of harassment.

1 year in jail for sexual abuse – 2nd degree.

The recommendation is to have all of the sentences run consecutively.

Sentencing for Zachary Wayman Douglas has not been set.
