15-0 Run Leads To CHS Boys Win

The Chillicothe Boys Basketball team opened their first game of the season with a 15-0 run on points and went on to beat Penney of Hamilton on the road 58 to 28.
Chillicothe led 15-3 after one and 31-8 at the half. Despite losing four seniors including three starters from last year’s team, Coach Tim Cool called it a good team win.

Coach Cool played all 12 players with nine of them scoring. Hayden Simmer led the team with 12 points, including eight in the first quarter. Wyatt Brandsgaard and James Mathew each had 10. Griff Bonderer with 8, Mason Baxter with 5, Kayden Potter and Landon Winder with 4, Gabe Hansen with 3, Cameron Fleener with 2 and playing time for Eli Cross, Quentin Cranmer and Kyle Young.
Penney of Hamilton had 9 from Gideon McBee, 6 for Andrew Rich, 5 for Nate Wychoff, 4 for Brayden Reynolds 3 for Tucker Ross1 for Stephen Henry and playing time for four others.
