The Chillicothe baseball team improved to 10-1 on the season on Wednesday night at Shaffer Park with an emphatic 12-2 win over Lafayette. The Hornets bats were buzzing as Chillicothe scored 5 runs in two separate innings needing just 4.5 frames to run rule the Fighting Irish.
All nine batters in the lineup for Chillicothe recorded a hit in the game highlighted by Hubby Ralls recording 2 hits and 2 RBIs while Jack Marshall led the team with three runs batted in on the evening.
Noah Rinehart earned the win on the mound, pitching all five innings, allowing just two runs on five hits.
Chillicothe is back in action today with another home game, taking on Carrollton.
