CHS Girls Tennis Locks In 3rd Place in the MEC After Sweeping Lafayette

Due to rainy conditions in St. Joseph all of Monday, the Lady Hornets met the Fighting Irish at the indoor courts in St. Joe for a quick varsity-only dual where the team came away victorious with a 9-0 win in less than two hours. The entire team played confidently and dominantly in doubles and singles after three days off for Homecoming festivities. This finalizes CHS as third in the MEC here at the end of the season out of seven teams, going 4-2 overall against their common opponents, falling only to Savannah & Maryville. Results were as follows:

#1 Singles Smith won 8-0 over Davis

#2 Singles Bonderer won 8-1 over Neri

#3 Singles Gatson won 8-2 over Garber

#4 Singles Mathews won 8-5 over Welchert

#5 Singles Moore won 8-0 over Wassinger

#6 Singles Nagel won 8-0 over Cave
