The Chillicothe Lady Hornets softball team battled Blair Oaks on Thursday. Chillicothe scored 3 runs in the first inning thanks to a triple from Maicee Albrecht, that brought in two runs and Albrecht added the third run herself. Chillicothe was excellent again with pitching and defense. The Lady Hornets shutout Blair Oaks through the first six innings of play. Landry Marsh allowed 5 hits while striking out 5 batters. Her shutout in the circle came to an end in the final inning but Blair Oaks managed just one run. Chillicothe won 3-1 and improves to 19-5 overall.
