The Chillicothe Lady Hornets softball team took down Lawson on the road on Thursday. It was a defensive game as the two teams combined for just 9 hits, Chillicothe led 2-1 entering the 5th inning when the Lady Hornets were able to add a pair of insurance runs while playing great defense to close out the game and win 4-1. The victory improves Chillicothe to 5-2 on the season.
Landry Marsh pitched all 7 innings allowing just one run on 3 hits and striking out 5 batters. Offensively, Marsh and Maicee Albrecht each had two hits and an RBI in the game to lift the Hornets past Lawson.
