Lady Hornets Softball Holds Off Kirksville

The Chillicothe Lady Hornets softball team visited Kirksville on Monday night for a tangle with the Tigers. The Lady Hornets entered the game 5-2 while Kirksville was 4-1.

Chillicothe found themselves trailing 2-1 going into the 3rd, but 2 runs in that frame and one more in each of the next 2 innings gave Chillicothe a 5-2 advantage late in the game. The Lady Hornets got a great night batting from catcher Tatum Palmer who had three hits and 2 RBIs in the game. In the circle, Ali Probasco and Landry Marsh split the duties each going for at least 3 innings and combining for 8 strikeouts.
