Lady Hornets Softball Starts Strong In Defeating Dragons

The Chillicothe Lady Hornets softball team jumped out to a 6 run lead in the first inning against Cameron on Tuesday. Charley Peniston was the driving force offensively with 3 hits and an RBI in the contest. After the fast start, Chillicothe added a run in each the 2nd and 3rd innings to coast to a comfortable 8-0 conference win. In the circle, Landry Marsh, Ali Probasco and Hope Donoho all contributed by pitching multiple innings, combining for 13 strikeouts and allowing just 4 hits while the Lady Hornets batters connected on a total 13 hits in the win.

 

The Lady Hornets move to 11-2 on the year and 2-0 in the MEC. Chillicothe will host Lexington next on Monday.
