After two weeks of the hottest tennis matches, the Lady Hornet netters faced yet another blistering day on the courts. This time at St. Pius High School on Monday evening. While St. Pius is no longer in CHS’ district or conference, the team has continued annual matches with them because of the high level of competition and hitting they provide. The Lady Hornets battled long and hard with most matches going to deuce in every game, but very few players were able to pull out a win against the dominate St. Pius hitters. Bright spots included #3 player, senior Lydia Bonderer making her return to the courts as well as sophomore #2 player, Isabel Nagel, battling back and forth for an hour with her opponent and gaining the sole varsity win for the night.
