Trenton Edges Chillicothe in Close Dual, 39–34

The Chillicothe Hornets fell in a tightly contested dual to Trenton, 39–34, on Tuesday, at Chillicothe.

Chillicothe opened the dual with early momentum as Marshall Boon earned a sudden-victory decision over Ayden Ortega at 106 pounds, followed by a technical fall from Riggin Isaacs over Marcus White at 113.

Trenton responded with points at 120, where Landon Olmstead picked up a forfeit, and at 126, as Jacob White secured a fall over Damian White. Chillicothe answered at 132 when Paxton Keith pinned Cooper Houser late in the match.

At 138, Trenton’s Jax Simpson earned a major decision over Oak Hayes. Chillicothe regained the lead at 144 behind a fall from Case Stretch over Bryar Foster.

Trenton collected key points through the middle and upper weights, with falls from Fisher Young (150) over Lukas Young, Gabe Makovec (157) over Lee Nickell, Henry Lasley (165) over Talon Lake, and a technical fall by Jackson Bethards (175) against Jack Black.

Chillicothe closed strong in the final three matches. Ethan Mercer earned a forfeit at 190, Tucker Slattery pinned Barrett Clark at 215, and Brendan Gardner secured a 3–2 decision over Peyton Baker at 285. A one-point unsportsmanlike conduct deduction proved costly for the Hornets.
