Turnovers Torment Hornets Against St. Pius

The Chillicothe Hornets football team traveled to Kansas City on Friday night for an MEC matchup against St Pius X. The Hornets entered the contest 2-2 and 1-1 in conference play, while the Warriors were 3-1 and 2-0 in the MEC.

 

The Hornets struggled to take care of the football turning it over 6 times in the first half. The four fumble recoveries and two interceptions for St Pius all resulted in touchdowns as Pius scored twice defensively, one rushing TD and five passing from Quarterback Hudson Bailey before the break to lead 57-0.

 

In the 2nd half St Pius added one more score to win by a final of 64-0.

 

The Hornets are now 2-3 on the season, 1-2 in conference and will play at Lafayette next Friday night in another Midland Empire Conference showdown.
