A request for studies of the Chillicothe community and surrounding area was made to the Board of Public Works. Economic Developer Terry Rumery made the request for about $39,500 for a Labor Study, Housing Study, and Retail Study. The total would be split between the City of Chillicothe, CMU, and CDI. Rumery says each of the studies is important to attract business and industry to the community.

Finally, A Housing Study. Rumery says this is significant.
All sectors are reporting a shortage of quality housing in the community.
Under the Mayor’s recommendation, the Board of Public Works approved the funding. The presentation will be made to the City Council on Monday.
