Chillicothe Weekend Police Report

The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 224 calls for service from Friday through Sunday.  Some of the calls include:

Friday, October 1st

6:48 a.m., Officers arrested a 31-year-old man in the 10 block of S. Washington St on a probation violation warrant.  He was unable to post the required bond and was transported to the Daviess-DeKalb County Regional Jail.

8:09 a.m., Officers took a report of attempted burglary and property damage in the 1500 block of Walnut St.  The investigation is on-going.

8:46 a.m., Officers took a report of a stolen vehicle in the 300 block of S. Washington St.  The investigation is on-going.

9:47 a.m., Officers were dispatched to a two vehicle non-injury accident obstructing the roadway in the area of Bus. 36 and S. Washington St.  Officers cleared the roadway and a report was taken.

11:00 a.m., a citizen called the Police Department to report possible sexual offenses.  Officers spoke with the citizen and gathered information.

12:06 p.m., Officers were dispatched to an attempted burglary in the 600 block of Jackson St.

2:58 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 1000 block of Elm St.  Officers arrived and discovered the man had left before their arrival.  Officers took the report and later located the 37-year-old man in the 300 block of Walnut St.  They attempted to contact the man who fled on foot.  Officers caught the man where he was placed under arrest for domestic assault, resisting arrest, and possession of a controlled substance.

5:16 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a careless and imprudent driver in the area of N. Washington St. and Third St.  Officers made a traffic stop in the area of N. Washington St. and Park Ln.

6:10 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a possible suicidal person in the 300 block of Dickinson Ave.  Officers contacted the person who was not suicidal.  Officers provided information for assistance if needed.

7:17 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a person walking away from a facility who may need mental health assistance in the 2700 block of N. Washington St.  Officers located the person who was picked up by a family member.

11:52 p.m., Officers arrested a 53-year-old man for operating a vehicle while in an intoxicated condition, driving while driver’s license suspended, and improper turn.  The traffic stop was at Graves St. and Jameson St.  The man was processed at the Police Department and released pending a court appearance.

Saturday, October 2nd

10:19 a.m., Officers were dispatched to a two-vehicle non-injury accident at Washington Street and Ryan Lane.  Officers reported a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old boy struck the rear end of a vehicle driven by a 50-year-old woman causing minor damage.

12:51 p.m., Officers took a report of leaving the scene of an accident in the 1200 block of N. Washington St.  A suspect has been identified and charges are pending.

1:30 p.m., Officers took a report of stealing in the 1200 block of Locust St.

6:47 p.m., Officers responded to a two-vehicle non-injury accident at U.S. 65 and U.S. 36.  A vehicle failed to yield to oncoming traffic and struck another vehicle as it headed southbound.  Both vehicles were towed from the roadway.  Officers were assisted at the scene by Missouri State Highway Patrol.

7:55 p.m., Officers at the Police Department took a report of sex offense.  The investigation is on-going.

10:02 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a possible suicidal person in the 200 block of Calhoun St.  Officers were advised a person left the scene on foot.  Officers located the person in the 1100 block of Oak St.  The person was transferred to a hospital for treatment and evaluation.

Sunday, October 3rd

1:31 p.m., Officers were dispatched to kids shooting BB guns in the 400 block of Third St.  Officers contacted the kids and advised them of the ordinance.

1:34 p.m., Officers took a report of a suicidal person in the 1400 block of Polk St.  Officers transported the person to a hospital for treatment and evaluation.

2:47 p.m., Officers took a report of stealing in the 1000 block of Graves St.  The investigation is on-going.
