Chillicothe Considering Board & Commission Ordinance

An ordinance that defines the requirements and responsibilities to serve on Chillicothe City Boards and Commissions was presented to the Chillicothe City Council, but no action was taken at this week’s meeting.  City Administrator Roze Frampton explains the changes that were presented.

Biggest change is in the residency requirement.

Frampton says the Park Board and Airport Board, under current language, is expected to have a role in choosing or recommending personnel, including the department director.

The amended ordinance removed that role.

Some council members want to consider if that change is needed, so the ordinance will be considered again at a future meeting.
