The deadline for paying your personal property and real estate taxes without penalty was the end of the day on December 31st. Those who did not pay in person, by drop off, on line, or by mail with a postmark on or before December 31st will need to pay the late fee. Livingston County Collector Treasurer Diana Havens says payments received late need to include the penalty.
11% in January and 2% for each month, Feb – Sept.
Havens says if the 2025 taxes are unpaid before the end of 2026, in 2027, the penalties begin again.
The Collector’s office is not able to take payments on the tax bills. Partial payments will be returned. You must pay the tax bill in full, including any penalties.
