One hundred fifty-eight calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department over the weekend. Some of the calls include:
Friday,
Officers investigated several reports of suspicious activity and checked on a subject’s well-being. Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at Bryan and Washington, where one driver was arrested for driving without a valid license and issued multiple citations. Officers also took a delayed report of a leaving-the-scene accident on Graves Street, which remains under investigation. Two reports of careless and imprudent driving were checked with no drivers located, and a late-night domestic disturbance on West Mohawk was determined to be verbal.
Saturday,
Officers handled a minor two-vehicle crash on Locust Street with no injuries and checked another suspicious activity report in the same area with no crimes found. Officers also took several calls about careless and imprudent drivers. Later that evening, a traffic stop near Bryan and McNally led to the arrest of a driver who was revoked and under the influence of drugs.
Sunday,
Officers checked a suspicious activity report on Mansur. A property damage report on Paul Street resulted in a suspect being identified and the investigation continuing. Officers additionally answered calls regarding possible scam phone calls.
Officers also conducted routine traffic stops, business checks, paper service, and follow-up investigations throughout the weekend.
