A man who was reported missing early Tuesday morning was located in the early evening.
Chillicothe Police took a report of a missing person early Tuesday morning in the 1000 block of Smith Street. A Silver Alert was issued through the Missouri Highway Patrol.
Officers conducted follow-ups throughout the day in an attempt to locate James Edward Jones. One of those calls led to finding the man at Liv 416 and 437, where he had driven into floodwater.
Livingston County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Chillicothe Fire Department were dispatched. He was transported to a hospital for treatment and evaluation.
