Charles Clarence Wilburn Jr. passed away June 19th, 2024 at Life Care Nursing Home in Carrolton, Missouri. He was born on September 29, 1925 to loving parents Charles Wilburn Sr. and Alta Morris Wilburn in Meadville, Missouri.
He attended Meadville High School before deciding to join the Marine Corp in December 1943. Charles served proudly for 3 years until his discharge in March 1946 as a Corporal.
Junior loved to go fishing, gardening, cutting wood, and spending time with family while also attending several Marine Corp. reunions.
Junior is survived by his daughters, Kay Ewing with her husband Buddy of Chillicothe MO, Nedra Owen with her husband Tom of Troy MO, along with 6 grandchildren, Kim Mills, Phillip Mills, Chris Mills, Sarah Owens, Rebecca Owen, Ketra Beashof, along with several great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife Mildred who passed May, 18th 2022, his parents and step-mother Emalea Elliott Wilburn. Two sisters Mary Tracy VanSickle and Regina Dowell, a Brother Lewis Wilburn, daughter, Karen Foley plus two infant children.
A graveside service for Charles Clarence Wilburn Jr. will be held on the 8th of July 2024 at 1:30p.m. at Wheeling Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Heritage Funeral Home.
