Serious Injury Crash In Macon County

A two-vehicle crash in Macon County left a Marceline man with serious injuries. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred around 3:00 PM. Friday on US Hwy. 36 near Bevier. According to the report, an 18-year-old man from Brookfield was driving a semi westbound on US 36 and was behind a vehicle driven by a 53-year-old woman from Marceline. The Marceline woman slowed for traffic and was struck from behind by the truck.

The woman had minor injuries. Her passenger, a 59-year-old man from Marceline, had serious injuries. He was flown to University Hospital in Columbia. She was taken to Samaritan Hospital with minor injuries.
