One hundred forty-two calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department on Monday. The calls include:
Officers made one arrest following an early morning traffic stop at Third and Slack streets, with the driver taken to the detention center and the vehicle towed. Police also investigated a domestic disturbance on Conn Street that began as a harassment complaint, and responded to a drug-related incident after contraband was discovered during an attempted introduction into a secure facility.
Other calls included a welfare check that resulted in a mental health referral, several traffic stops that led to speeding, insurance and registration enforcement, reports of suspicious activity, noise complaints, and two theft investigations. In one case, a missing cell phone reported stolen from a Walnut Street business was later recovered in a nearby business’s lost and found.
