Bids Approved In Board Of Public Works Meeting

The Chillicothe Board of Public Works approved two bids as part of their meeting.  General Manager Matt Hopper says they received bids for a ½ ton 4×4 pick-up truck.

Low bid of $ 39,839 was from Jim Butler Chevrolet.

Hopper says that is a stock unit.

The board also reviewed four bids for dirt work for water plant drying beds.

The low bid was from Monty Campbell for $13,800.

The dirt work is to prepare the site for concrete basins for liquid lime to dry, as opposed to spreading it on fields.  The lime is a byproduct of softening the water for the Chillicothe water system.
